Joss Whedon Addresses “Justice League” Stars’ Claims

Joss Whedon has finally responded to allegations of on-set misconduct made by actors Gal Gadot and Ray Fisher … and his remarks are hardly endearing.

In both May and October last year, Gadot opened up about her strained experience with the 57-year-old director while filming reshoots for “Justice League” in 2017, claiming that he “threatened my career and said if I did something, he would make my career miserable.”

Fisher – who played Cyborg alongside Gadot’s Wonder Woman in the flick – accused Whedon of being “gross, abusive [and] unprofessional”, especially for reducing his screen time in the final product.

In a recent interview with “New York Magazine”, Whedon awkwardly denied the pair’s claims.

“I don’t threaten people. Who does that?” he scoffed. “English is not [Israeli native Gadot’s] first language, and I tend to be annoyingly flowery in my speech.”

As for Fisher, Whedon called him a “bad actor”, and that Cyborg was “the worst of all the characters in the film” among test audiences, which is apparently why most of his scenes were cut out.

Gadot and Fisher have since lambasted Whedon’s denials, with the latter labelling them as “lies and buffoonery.”
